QuietCode Uploader

QuietCode Uploader is a private tool for the YouTube channel QuietCode Ambience. It uploads the channel's own ambience videos and schedules their publication through the YouTube Data API v3. It is not offered to the public: its only user is the owner of the channel.

This policy explains how QuietCode Uploader, developed and used by Ale La Farina ("I", "me"), handles information when it connects to YouTube.

YouTube API Services and Google Privacy Policy

QuietCode Uploader uses YouTube API Services. By using it you are also bound by the Google Privacy Policy.

What information the tool accesses

When the channel owner signs in with a Google account (OAuth 2.0), the tool asks for the YouTube scopes youtube.upload and youtube. It uses them only to:

• upload video files created by the channel owner;
• set the title, description, tags, thumbnail, audience setting and publication date of those videos;
• read the status of the channel's own videos (processing state, privacy, scheduled date) and list its recent uploads;
• read the channel name and ID, to confirm that it is connected to the right channel.

It does not access comments, subscribers, analytics, messages or data of other users.

How information is stored and shared

The tool runs only on the owner's own computer. The OAuth access token is saved in a local file that only the owner's user account can read. The tool keeps a local list of the channel's video IDs and scheduled dates, so that two videos are never scheduled on the same day.

No information is sent to any server other than Google's. Nothing is sold or shared with third parties. The tool uses no cookies, analytics or advertising.

Retention and deletion

Video IDs and scheduled dates are kept only as long as they are needed to plan the channel's publication calendar. Other information returned by the API is shown on screen and not stored. If access is revoked, the stored token and any stored API data are deleted within 7 days. To request deletion of any data, write to the contact address below.

How to revoke access

Access can be revoked at any time from the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions (remove "QuietCode Uploader").

Terms of Service

• QuietCode Uploader is a private tool used only for the QuietCode Ambience channel. It is not sold or distributed.
• By using QuietCode Uploader you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
• Use of the tool is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy and to the Privacy Policy above.
• The tool is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
• Any change to these terms or to the privacy policy will be published on this page with a new date.
